I love the idea of crocheting an apron! It is such a neat, unique idea. If you are not a big fan of the blue, the flowers will also compliment any other color nicely. Looking at some other comments, people are having trouble with the pleat. I will have to try this pattern out and see if I can figure out the problem.

can someone explain how to do the pleat? I think I have it wrong, I don't quite get the 1 inch part after measuring 6 inches on either side. I'm ready to attach the bib now but I think the skirt part is wrong since I've done the pleat wrong. Thanks for any help!

I love it! Im starting tonight!!

Adorable!

Cheerful in any kitchen. Can't wait to make one. I vote crochet.

Lily sugar and cream , that is Cotton yarn?

Hi, this is the answer for "crafter 9806784". The stripe pattern you're talking about is just the instructions on how to do the stripe pattern itself. The stripe pattern is used in the apron skirt pockets. The pocket pattern tells you how many chains to make, after the first row you work the stripe pattern as instructed. Hope this helps. Susie

you state in the beginning of pattern as follows, Stripe Pattern Work 5 rows with MC. I need the number of chains to start with, there are none stated. Please advise.
