Earth Tone Knit Afghan
This Earth-tone knitting afghan pattern is great for those who love the environment. This pattern uses a circular knitting needle. This makes for a great gift.
Materials:
- TLC® "Essentials™": 4 Skeins No. 2335 Taupe A, 1 skein each No. 2821 Paradise Blue B and No. 2615 Light Celery C.
- Circular Knitting Needle: 6mm [US 10] – 29".
- Yarn needle.
GAUGE: 1 Chevron = 4 1/4" across; 12 rows = 2 1/2" in pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.
Afghan measures approximately 51" x 59"

Instructions:
With A, cast on 204 sts. Do not join, but work back and forth in rows as follows:
Foundation Row (Wrong Side): Knit.
Row 1 (Right Side): * K2tog, K6, yo, K1, yo, K6, sl 1, K1, psso; rep from * across – 12 chevrons.
Row 2: Knit.
Rows 3 and 4: With B, Knit.
Rows 5 and 7: With A, * K2tog, K6, yo, K1, yo, K6, sl 1, K1, psso; rep from * across.
Rows 6 and 8: With A, Purl.
Rows 9 and 10: With C, Knit.
Rows 11-14: With A, rep Rows 5-8.
Rep Rows 3-14 twenty two more times, then rep Rows 3 and 4 with B, then Row 5 with A. K3 rows with A. Bind off.
Weave in ends on wrong side with yarn needle.
