I am about to begin making the Duster or Mop Cover from "...27 Easy knitting Patterns". Please tell me Is there any reason why it is knit in 3 pieces instead of one? Why have the extra seams?

I have knitted on and off for years, but my knitting never seems to look quite right when I am done. I tried the scarf, and my stitches look funny when I bind them off, and my finished product looks crooked, if that makes any sense. How can I make my items look straight along the sides and even on the edges? What am I doing wrong?

I am so bummed out because Very Joyful said it's only a pattern book and I don't know how to knit.

Title is misleading... It's a pattern book (a nice one), but not a "learn how to" book.

Funny YOUR own word's say this..."Have you been itching to learn how to knit? Looking for some easy knitting patterns that are fun to make? Well you're in luck! Learn to knit a scarf pattern, make funky baby clothes, and knit shabby chic decorating items with all these easy knitting patterns in this free eBook! Read more at http://www.favecrafts.com/Knitting/Learn-How-to-Knit-for-Beginners-27-Easy-Knitting-Patterns-eBook/ct/1#rw4wq2BGXXxYfgi6.99 " but it's nothing more than a crappy book of decades/age old patterns. THANKS FOR NOTHING!
