Tresse Infinity Cable Scarf Knitting Pattern
"The sweet smell of warm Tresse as a child inspired this infinity scarf knitting pattern. Tresse (meaning braid in French) is also the name of one of my favorite sweet breads as a child. The cables in this scarf mimic the braided dough and when looped twice around your neck, the cable scarf knitting pattern will fit nice and snug to keep you warm (like you are a little sweet bread) and stylish all winter long. The Tresse infinity scarf is a completely reversible infinity scarf featuring a big braided central cable. Knit flat, then seamed into a big twisted loop. Because of the heavy worsted weight, this infinity scarf knitting pattern is a quick knit. It is beginner friendly and is a great opportunity for a knitting beginner to practice an easy cable and move past the basic cable. /PATTERN DETAILS • Infinity scarf is 17 cm / 6.5” wide and 125 cm / 49” total length • Wear it double looped for snug fit • Heavy worsted weight - quick knit • Beginner friendly to easy level (good opportunity to practice easy cable) • Completely reversible • Techniques used / Special stitches: Full explanations are given in the pattern. • Step by step photos /MATERIALS • 6.5 mm/ US 10.5 knitting needles. • 2 skeins worsted weight Vidalana Tweedy Sheep yarn (90% wool, 10% Donegal neps 137m /150yd, 100g) in colorway Chai Latte • Tapestry needle to weave in the ends • Cable needle • 1 stitch marker"
