Ornament of Buttons
Use up your spare buttons by turning them into a cute Ornament of Buttons. This is one of those easy to make Christmas ornaments that you whip up in a few minutes!
Materials:
- Glass or plastic unfinished hollow ornaments
- Buttons small enough to fit through the opening
- Glue gun w/glue sticks or another strong glue (to glue the metal cap on)
- Hanger, ribbon, or string/yarn to hang the ornament
Instructions:
- Carefully take the metal cap off of the ornament and set aside.
- Carefully insert the buttons through the opening until the ornament is almost full, being sure that the narrow part of the ornament is still empty to ensure the cap will fit back on.
- Insert the prongs of the cap into the ornament but do not push the cap all the way down.
- Apply a thin strip of glue to the "neck" of the ornament and carefully press the cap of the ornament down into place.
- Let dry for at least 30 minutes.
- Congratulations! Your project is finished!
