Three-Dimensional Fabric Flowers
Learn to make 3D fabric flowers! Sponsored by I Am Sew Crazy, this FREE one-hour class is the perfect opportunity to learn how to turn fabric scraps into fantastic new accessories.
In this class, fashion designer Jessie Agnew of I Am Sew Crazy teaches an easy and impressive method of making three-dimensional fabric flowers. The flowers are heat-shapeable using a curling iron, and can be made in many different styles. Use these lovely flowers on tote bags, sandals, lapel pins, hair clips, hats, and even wreaths!
Materials needed:
•Heat-n-bond ultra hold
•Fabric scraps (a piece of fabric as large as a sheet of paper is plenty for most flowers)
•Scissors
•Clothes iron
•Curling iron
•Hand sewing needle
•Thread that matches your fabric
•Your choice of beads, contrasting fabric, a large button, or jewelry for the flower center (orphaned earrings usually work really well)
•Your choice of pinback, alligator clip, hair spring clip, etc. to attach your flower to the desired background (this is optional, as you can also choose to sew the flower directly to a tote bag or other item)
