Plastic Bag Rug Tip

Rugs made out of plastic bags? It's been done before. We have a tip on how to keep those rugs clean. This tip comes from Kay Hutson: Just wanted you to know that I have made several rugs out of the plastic bags. You can clean them by just throwing them in the washer on delicate. Just don't put in dryer. I have done this several times.

Hi, you can check out how to make the plastic bag rugs, from this site, it is called, recycledplasticbags.org....I found out how to cut the bags into "phlarn" and then you can just crochet them like you do a rug out of yarn...I have made a bunch of totes, and rugs, easy..takes time, but they are really cute. to the people who asked about keeping the rug from sliding go to the aslile with the shelf linning material there is a rubber material that is raised and bumpy with small holes in it (Grip-It Shelf and Drawer Liner) Attach this to the underside of the rug using small strips of plastic bag and weave threw the shelf linning holes attach however much you need. This will aid in the rug not slipping.

How do you keep the rugs from sliding when you step on them? Also what about when it rains won't they slid easy?
