Plastic headband
Narrow double-sided sticky tape
Premier Yarns Raffia yarn

How to Make a Headband with Raffia Yarn

Instructions

Line headband down the middle with the sticky tape. Be sure to line both the inside and the outside for best results.
Beginning at one end of the headband, carefully wrap the raffia yarn around the headband.
Be sure the yarn lies flat and completely covers the tape.
As you are working around, pause now and then to press the Raffia firmly onto the tape.
When you reach the other end, continue wrapping, including over the end. Cut off the yarn and place a small square of sticky tape on the tail and press to the inside.

This is really a good craft for preteen and teen girls! The double-sided tape is genius! But I also wear headbands and have had no luck finding adult headbands that I like until now! These are great!

I'm glad I saw this, because I have some raffia yarn my friends gifted me for my birthday, and I honestly don't like anything you can knit with it. Maybe I'll make a headband out of it instead! The colors are too cute so I can't just give it away.
